The PDC Research Wing was established to undertake research and research training in population oral health at a standard that is internationally recognized to be of the highest quality.
The aim of the project is to promote research activities among dentists and dental students and offer them research and development opportunities in an international setting.
This will facilitate collaboration between the students nationwide as well as worldwide and will help in propagating the application of research findings in the field of dentistry for the improvement of oral health.
The project activities include creating a database of partner schools, companies and organizations, publishing the list of partners online and informing people about research opportunities, selecting and supporting outstanding students and encouraging them to present and publish their scientific papers.
As part of this program, several possibilities are offered to students interested in research: summer research projects, participation in a research project under the supervision of a mentor, visits to research laboratories/company headquarters and connecting with partner schools in order to develop multicentric studies.
Research Program’s partner are hospitals, dental schools, students’ associations, professional organizations and companies.
