Islamic Republic of Pakistan, a sovereign country, is situated in Southern Asia. It has an area covering 796,095 km2. The official language of the Country is Urdu and English but it is a linguistically, culturally and geographically diverse country.

Pakistan is bordered by China to the northeast, Afghanistan to the west, India to the east, Iran to the southwest and. The Arabian sea is located to the south of Pakistan with a 1046km coast line.

Pakistan was founded by Muhammad Ali Jinnah on August 14th 1947 as an independent nation for Muslims.

  • Pakistan won the Cricket World Cup in 1992, the Asia Cup in 2000 & 2012, the Austral Asia Cup in 1986, 1990 and 1994, the Asian Test Championship 1998-1999 and World T-20 in 2009. The fastest bowler in the history of cricket to date is Shoib Akhter, and the Fastest Century as of 2013 has been made by Shahid Khan Afridi.
